Based in Johannesburg, Gauteng – CHABAHIVA Trust seeks to appoint a

PORTFOLIO MANAGER

The Portfolio Manager must be a passionate leader who appreciates the art of consolidating strategy, sustainability, business acumen, and innovation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Trust Director, be a key player in implementing our strategy, developing our innovations, overseeing our impact and risk, aligning quality assurance, and contributing towards organisational sustainability.

This role demands high levels of self-management, efficiency, delivery, balance, work ethic, and accountability. It also requires high levels of compassion, purpose, and authenticity.

The  Portfolio Manager  will be responsible for the following tasks and duties, among others:

1. Developing the Trusts’ four innovations
2. Interpretating and presenting monthly financial management reports for the Trust and its partners.
3. Creating and Monitoring activity budgets for the Trusts partners
4. Developing and growing impact assessment tools for the Trust
5. Developing and growing risk assessment tools for the Trust and its partners
6. Create and implement quality assurance for the Trust and its partners.
7. Monthly management reporting for the Trust and its partners
8. Stakeholder Management
9. Fundraising activities towards the sustainability of this role

The  Portfolio Manager  must meet the following criteria:

1. Tertiary qualification (Business Administration, Marketing, Development, Similar). Note: if you don’t have a tertiary qualification and feel confident that you are well suited to this role, convince us in your application
2. 2- 5 year Practical experience:
3. in programme development & management
4. in working with or in a start-up
5. in a management & leadership role
6. in impact investments
7. in monitoring and evaluation
8. in creating quality assurance processes
9. in strategic planning and implementation, business development, fundraising, securing, and reporting on repeated funds.

This is a 12-month contract with a possibility of renewal – office based work.
