Based in Johannesburg, Gauteng – CHABAHIVA Trust seeks to appoint a
PORTFOLIO MANAGER
The Portfolio Manager must be a passionate leader who appreciates the art of consolidating strategy, sustainability, business acumen, and innovation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Trust Director, be a key player in implementing our strategy, developing our innovations, overseeing our impact and risk, aligning quality assurance, and contributing towards organisational sustainability.
This role demands high levels of self-management, efficiency, delivery, balance, work ethic, and accountability. It also requires high levels of compassion, purpose, and authenticity.
The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the following tasks and duties, among others:
- Developing the Trusts’ four innovations
- Interpretating and presenting monthly financial management reports for the Trust and its partners.
- Creating and Monitoring activity budgets for the Trusts partners
- Developing and growing impact assessment tools for the Trust
- Developing and growing risk assessment tools for the Trust and its partners
- Create and implement quality assurance for the Trust and its partners.
- Monthly management reporting for the Trust and its partners
- Stakeholder Management
- Fundraising activities towards the sustainability of this role
The Portfolio Manager must meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualification (Business Administration, Marketing, Development, Similar). Note: if you don’t have a tertiary qualification and feel confident that you are well suited to this role, convince us in your application
- 2- 5 year Practical experience:
- in programme development & management
- in working with or in a start-up
- in a management & leadership role
- in impact investments
- in monitoring and evaluation
- in creating quality assurance processes
- in strategic planning and implementation, business development, fundraising, securing, and reporting on repeated funds.
This is a 12-month contract with a possibility of renewal – office based work.
