Role Description
Job title: Bonnievale 418 Program Administrator
Reports to: Programme Director
About Bonnievale 418
After the successful community-led implementation of a new skills-based high school in Bonnievale (Jakes Gerwel Technical), the Bonnievale 418 programme has been established to pursue a broader mission to invest in the lives of young people by increasing access to skills-based education, supporting learner pathways from school to work, growing employment potential within the local economy and sharing learnings with other communities”. The programme has the ambitious goal of zero youth unemployment in the local community by 2030.
Bonnievale 418 is funded by the JGE Funding Trust, a dedicated and diverse group of community members who share a deeply held belief that every young person should have the opportunity to participate fully in learning and in life regardless of means or ability.
Job overview
As the Program Administrator for Bonnievale 418, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-level administrative support to our executive team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
The position is based in Bonnievale, Western Cape.

Minimum requirements
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans, with excellent writing and editing skills.
- Team building skills, working with people at various levels and with different backgrounds.
- Good all-round computer skills (windows, excel, powerpoint, project management tools).
- Proven administrative skills.
- Skills in budgeting and financial management.
- Skills in development of theory of change/ logical framework.
- Proposal development and high level funder engagement.
- Knowledge of basic and further education sectors, including government structures, policies and plans, and social sector landscape in education.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
Education and experience profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Secretarial Studies, or related field.
- Proven experience or in a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Employment Type: 3-year contract position.
