Governance and Livelihoods Agenda  NPC (AgendaGL) was founded in 2015. AgendaGL is a dynamic NGO that aims to contribute towards uplifting communities’ livelihoods by nurturing the leader in each child and woman. We believe that individuals with independent and transformed minds are leaders capable of bringing about positive change for themselves and those around them. This is possible with quality and relevant support in a safe and enabling environment. AgendaGL also engages with systems of governance in ensuring that they are responsive and accountable to those they govern and the governed have the capacity to effectively hold such to account. AgendaGL is one of the partner organizations implementing a national programme on enhancing accountability in South Africa that seeks to strengthen social accountability in local government so that the institution of local government returns to its mandate of addressing the devastating socio-economic conditions in rural areas and former homelands.
