Central Gauteng Mental Health Society seeks to appoint a Temporary Social Worker for Katorus Office.
RESPONSIBILITY
- Render Social Work services to people with mental illness and intellectual disability including those experiencing trauma and life crisis.
- Utilize all Social Work intervention methods.
- Deliver holistic service to clients.
- Facilitate awareness programmes.
- Compile monthly report and statistics.
- Liaise/networking with other organizations.
- Assist with fundraising projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree/Qualification in Social Work
- Must be registered with SACSSP, for the current 2023/24.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Social Work field
- Experience in the application and use of Mental Health care Act 17of 2002
- Reasonable computer literacy i.e. ability to navigate around a computer and access email, internet (Microsoft office application).
- Driver’s License is a requirement.
- Background knowledge in the mental health sector will be an advantage.
