‘Believe you can fly and all things are possible’
Maphiko is a nonprofit organisation led by a group of women with a shared vision, passion and commitment to making a meaningful contribution to transformation in South Africa by the upliftment, development, liberation and empowerment of previously disadvantaged young women.
Maphiko’s mission is to make a meaningful contribution to transformation in South Africa by offering Group Coaching based transformation programmes for the development, upliftment, liberation and empowerment of previously disadvantaged young women.
Its vision, ‘real change…real transformation’, aims to instil a sense of pride, empowerment, liberation and accomplishment in all those graduating from Maphiko’s programmes by supporting them to:
Liberate: To free themselves from the shackles of the past and the cultural barriers that are keeping them from realising their true potential.
Identify what is important to them: To explore and define new personal directions and to develop an action plan for moving forward to achieve their goals
Empower themselves: To take full responsibility for their own lives and the choices that they make to move from a framework of passivity or entitlement to one of pro-activity and ambition by emphasising the importance of personal responsibility in success
Purpose: To apply the power of groups and group coaching together with the best group coaches to maximise the combined energy, experience and wisdom of individuals who choose to participate in the organisation’s programmes, in order to achieve individual goals, as well as to provide each group member with support, coaching, resources, energy and the accountability needed to move forward on specific individual goals.
