About Company
The Institute for the Healing of Memories is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Part- Time Junior Researcher (3 days a week).
This role is based at IHOM Cape Town Office, located at 5 Eastry Road, Claremont.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation/case studies on the impact of programs on individuals and communities.
- Assisting in field research activities, including data collection and interviews.
- Writing reports and presentations based on research findings.
- Collaborating with programs coordinators to achieve the research and documentation goals.
- Participate in team meetings, workshops, and research discussions.
- IHOM articles/ Press release.
- Compiling IHOM articles, remarks, etc into useful material terms to contribute to the knowledge hub.
- Documentation of the IHOM conferences.
- Assist to track data from Salesforce system for fundraising and reporting purposes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Peace Studies, Conflict Resolution, Social Work or any other related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with experience in qualitative research methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (proficiency in other South Africa languages is an advantage).
- Experience in conducting and managing qualitative data, data collection and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent Computer skills. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
