EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2028  

Isibani Development Partners is a South African-registered NGO, launched in 2011 to become a leading local technical assistance provider, systems strengthening and grants manager for health and social service in Southern Africa. Isibani is appointed by the National Department of Health to serve as one of the Sub-Recipients (SRs) for the GLOBAL FUND TB/HIV Program (GC7) in Ekurhuleni district (Gauteng Province), King Cetshwayo and UGU health districts (Kwa-Zulu Natal Province), from 01 October 2025 to 31 March 2028
. Isibani seeks to appoint data capturers that will be placed at hospital/CHC and rove between feeder facilities.


Job overview:
 
The Data Capturers will maintain the TB/HIV database by entering new and updated patients’ information, collate information and prepare reports for submission and presentation to the organization, health facilities, district and National Department of Health.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum Education, Skills and Abilities
  • Candidates must be in possession of a Matric.
  • A post matric qualification will be advantageous.
  • Must have a minimum of two years working experience in data collecting, capturing, management and / or analysis.
  • Have basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS and TB.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with DOH data and/or M&E systems (capturing data from patient-record to DHIS level).
  • Experience of working on Tier.Net and/ or EDR-Web will be added advantage.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Excel.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
  • Good interpersonal skills, have the ability to take initiative and be a team player.
  • Must be a South African national with fluency in at least one local indigenous South African language.
  • Proof of residence must be attached confirming residence (e.g. Municipality bill).
Responsibilities
 Minimum Key Responsibilities and duties:
  • Ensure accurate daily data capturing and consolidation for designated service points.
  • Maintain and update all relevant HIV/TB registers.
  • Capture incoming clinical data on clients rendered services from the mobile team and outreach team.
  • Ensure that all data are captured according to the standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure that data is transmitted to relevant manager within the set time frames.
  • Participate in data quality management by performing systems verifications, data quality assurance and control measures.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly reporting templates accurately and timely submission thereof.
  • Support facilities to address emerging data management issues.
  • Liaise with facility staff regarding recording and reporting.
  • Work closely with the TB Focal person and facility manager.
