DAG seeks to employ an Intern for the Civic Action Hub
Programme, based in Cape Town
The position is a paid internship with a 1-year fixed-term contract, subject to a probation period.

Requirements & Qualifications
Educational
Qualifications / Experience:
Requirements:
- Relevant university degree or diploma, such as one of the built environment or human settlements professions (e.g., Urban Planning, Social Development, Human Settlement Development, Social Anthropology, etc.
- At least two years of training and research experience in the field of housing, social development, land and/or urban development.
- Knowledge of research and training methodologies and techniques.
- Knowledge of housing, land, and urban development policy frameworks.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint (intermediate level) and MS Excel (beginner level).
- Strong management skills, including time, resource, financial, programming, and budgeting.
- Ability to plan independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent English writing skills and effective communication abilities (both written and verbal).
- Diplomacy, discretion, and confidence in liaising with partners.
- Creative thinking and ability to use own initiative.
- Ability to earn the respect and confidence of team members and project partners, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
