About Me
Dr John Ostrowick holds a PhD in philosophy of science, dealing with Bayes Theorem. He also is a trained high school science and mathematics teacher. His primary career trajectory has been in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). He used his knowledge of ICT and education to support the Department of Basic Education's Operation Phakisa ICT initiative, as well as serving as the Chief Information Officer for the State Capture Commission under the Department of Justice. Prior to that he was an ICT technician at Wits University's Computer Science Department. Dr Ostrowick has published 8 academic papers and a number of books. He is currently researching the phenomenon of fake news and how to use LLMs for research.
