Project manager for a data, design, and communication agency
Project manager for a data, design, and communication agency
Lushomo helps partner organisations do good by communicating complex information effectively. We work mainly with United Nations clients and other international organisations in the areas of health, environment, education and economic development. We are mission-driven and only take on work that has a positive social impact. Lushomo is growing steadily, and together we are becoming leaders in information design and research communication. We are currently looking for a project manager. Depending on your level of experience, we are looking for someone to manage individual projects, or to help us manage the overall organisation. We would ask senior candidates to start by managing a few projects and then to move up to a senior management role.
The right person will be:
· Agile and proactive in achieving results according to timeframe, budget and appropriate levels of quality
· Highly organised and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced high-pressure environment with multiple competing priorities
· Tech-savvy and able to work on a range of digital platforms
· Excited and curious about innovative opportunities to transform our client’s information into impactful and engaging visual design
Our projects involve managing the development of videos, data visualisations, social media materials, websites, reports and infographics. This involves working with a variety of creatives to assimilate complex material and generating digestible, easy to understand materials for diverse audiences.
For more senior candidates, we are looking for help with our overall organisational development, HR, financial monitoring and planning, and whatever contributions are required to take the organisation forward.
Requirements:
· Masters degree in a field related to international health, development, science or environment
· Previous project management experience, including proven ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget, while meeting client expectations
· Have excellent writing and communication abilities in English
· Have an eye for detail and excellent coordination and organisational skills
· For junior-level candidates, you will have fulfilled the criteria above and be willing to get stuck in in a fast-paced, challenging environment to learn as quickly as possible how to successfully manage projects and accounts
· For senior candidates, we expect experience in leading teams of project managers or holding senior management roles within a communications agency or research-based organisation
Also beneficial:
· Experience with Miro, Slack, Workflow Max or similar software
· Previous experience working in visual design, media or another communications-related field.
· Exposure to any of a wide array of technical skills: data analysis, coding/development (front- or back-end), graphic design, video production, photography, etc.
· Language skills, particularly in any of the 5 UN languages other than English.
