TRUST EXECUTIVE OFFICER ADVERT
LOCATION: BEDFORD – Three days in a week and two days remotely
REPORTS TO: Board of Trustees through the Chairperson
BACKGROUND:
The Cookhouse Wind Farm Community Trust (CWFCT) is a community owned enterprise with business interests in wind energy. The Trust is intended to benefit the following towns Cookhouse, Bedford, Adelaide, and Somerset East.
CWFCT was established to comply with the licencing conditions for the Renewables Cookhouse Wind Farm Company. This is a project that exists under the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Program (REIPPPP), which has compliance requirements where each project should have community ownership.
DESCRIPTION:
The core purpose of this role is to provide leadership and direction for CWFCT. The TEO will work closely with the Board of Trustees to develop strategies to serve the beneficiary towns, grow fundraising, manage stakeholders, and focus service providers towards servicing the beneficiaries with impact. She / He will ensure effective implementation of the strategy, drive implementation and report on results through impact assessments.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
•Provide leadership with a clear vision, and purpose for the Trust.
•Ensure Strategy & Operational Plan development and implementation to achieve goals set by the Board.
•Develop collaboration strategies which are cost effectively implemented.
•Establish strong trusted stakeholder relationships that can be leveraged to help deliver results.
•Ensure a clear communication and marketing strategy that build the CWFCT positive brand.
•Provide strong financial leadership, accountability and transparency.
•Provide leadership and management to staff of CWFCT
•Coordinate and lead budget reviews in line with the Operational Plan
•Oversee the implementation of CWFCT community programmes
•Attend to any tasks delegated by the Board.
•Ensure robust implementation of Trust policies
CANDIDATE PROFILE
•Tertiary degree or diploma (Post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage).
•At least 7 years in an executive leadership role within operations, managing at least 5 people.
•Strong strategic capability.
•Proven ability in achieving organisational goals.
•Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills and stakeholder Management.
•Experience in working with or for an NPO.
•Knowledge of financials and finance forecasting.
•Experience or knowledge in managing the media and advocating to stakeholders.
•Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•Commitment to continuous self and team member development.
•Strong EQ (Emotional Intelligence) driven by ethics and values.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
•Renewable energy knowledge will be an added advantage.
•Must have a valid driver’s licence and own roadworthy vehicle.
REMUNERATION: R900,000.00 CTC, negotiable (includes basic salary & any agreed upon benefits such as medical aid)
