This role involves coordinating essential aspects of bursary administration, and student mentorship and development. Responsibilities:

As a Coordinator at StudyTrust, you will be responsible for:

1.    Bursary Administration:

  • Overseeing the entire bursary cycle, including recruitment, selection, contracting, and payments.
  • Monitoring academic progress of bursary beneficiaries and ensuring compliance with bursary terms.
  • Preparing accurate and timely reports on bursary utilisation.

2. Student Mentorship and Development:

  • Supporting students throughout their educational journey.
  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and resources to enhance their academic experience.
  • Collaborating with other departments to create a holistic support system.

3. Leadership and Coordination:

  • Leading a dedicated team of professionals.
  • Coordinating efforts to optimise bursary processes and student support.
  • Ensuring alignment with StudyTrust’s mission and values.

Qualifications and Experience:

To excel in this role, you should have:

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years in bursary administration or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience leading a team.
  • Familiarity with the higher education funding sector.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to practically apply knowledge to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in report writing.

Personal Attributes:

  • A strong team player who collaborates effectively.
  • A track record of professionalism and commitment to client services excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification relevant to the field.
  • Adequate experience in bursary administration or a related role.
