Contract Manager

Nexia SAB&T seeks to appoint a dynamic individual to conduct effective post-award management of contracts between suppliers of pharmaceuticals and related services and the National Department of Health on a fixed term contract in Pretoria. 

Responsibilities & Duties 

1. Manage supply of Pharmaceutical Products. 

1. Manage supplier performance and compliance. 

1. Manage supplier relationships. 

1. Execute contract remedies. 

1. Manage risk and audit queries . 

Qualification, Skills, Competencies & Experience: 

1. A minimum qualification of a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy / Supply Chain Management. 

1. Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist. 

1. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, wholesaling or distribution, and/or procurement or contract management and/or experience as community or institutional pharmacist. 

1. Rudimentary knowledge of a medicine production cycle. 

1. Quantitative skills including demand planning and predictive analysis. 

1. Project planning, monitoring & evaluation practices and protocols. 

1. Familiar with the content of the General Conditions of Contract, contractual and legislative contexts, including knowledge of good governance. 

1. Familiar with relevant legislation including the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999) as amended, the Medicines and Related Substances Act. 

1. Computer literacy, including full Microsoft Office Suite. 

1. Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
