About Me

Fredrick Govere has 12 years’ experience in research, monitoring & evaluation and policy analysis in diverse programs, projects and sectors in Sub-Sahara Africa which includes; • Public Health: HIV and ADS, TB, Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights, Sexual Gender-Based Violence, Mental Health • Social Development: Orphans and Vulnerable Children • Education: Adolescents and Young People/Youth, Curriculum Development and Implementation • Youth Empowerment: Economic Strengthening - Vocational Skills Training and Job Creation • Environment: Climate Change; Natural Resources Management; Biodiversity Conservation Fredrick Govere has commendable experience in project and program evaluation, and in routine program monitoring and evaluation in diverse program areas – Adolescent and Young People on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), HIV and AIDS & TB, Orphans & Vulnerable Children (OVC), Youth Empowerment, Climate Change, Natural Resources Management, and Biodiversity Conservation – Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Mozambique, Malawi, Kenya and Nigeria. Fredrick has therefore participated in public health researches, evaluations, baseline assessments, situational analysis, policy analysis, due diligent investigation, and training. Fredrick has experience in developing and managing evaluation terms of reference, monitoring and evaluation systems/ frameworks, designing patient health cards, capacity building & training, mentoring staff, supporting and managing sub-grantees/project partners and providing technical assistance in monitoring and evaluation support at various levels. Fredrick has, therefore experience in working, providing technical & strategic support and overseeing the role of sub-grantees, project partners, consultancies and research associates within various sectors. Within the academic sector, Fredrick has worked as a Researcher of diverse research projects; Tutor/Assistant Lecturer and Clinical Associate Research Coordinator at the University of Fort Hare, University of KwaZulu-Natal, and University of Walter Sisulu. With the NGO and Development sector, Fredrick has worked, Project Coordinator, Capacity Building Coordinator, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, Monitoring & Evaluation Technical Advisor, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Manager, Research, Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, Global Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Manager, and is currently a Freelance Evaluation Consultant. Fredrick has also sole and co-authored papers and presented at various conferences.
