The Bridges Retreat Centre campus is nestled in the beautiful Wemmershoek /Franschhoek valley. Our primary purpose is to provide a fully funded enriching outdoor educational camp programme (OECP) that follows the WCED life skills curriculum for children from under-resourced communities. Bridges is a Christian faith-based organisation.

About Company
Our purpose is to provide enriching educational camp experiences for children from under-resourced communities, where they develop values and life skills that will positively impact the trajectory of their lives.
Through sponsorship, we offer fully funded Grade 5, 6 and 7 camps to a growing network of primary schools from under-resourced communities including Fisantekraal, Gugulethu, Mitchells Plain, Elsies Rivier, Simondium and Wemmershoek.
Learners experience a 3-day 2-night, action packed programme, returning 3 years in a row- Grade 5, 6 and 7. This allows us to develop long-term working relationships with the school management teams, educators and learners, who are able to progress in their development each returning year.
Our programme facilitates the holistic development of each learner, focusing on the following life skills within each targeted grade:

- CAPS aligned curriculum best taught in an outdoor educational space

They also get to enjoy the beautiful Bridges Retreat Centre campus with its comfortable accommodation, large swimming pool, basketball court, fire pit, established fruit trees, running trail, full-sized soccer field and garden, all surrounded by awe inspiring mountain views.
These camps happen mid-week. Over weekends, the campsite is rented by non-profit, public benefit groups, youth groups and team leadership groups.
