About Company
POSITION: Director/CEO
Responsible for planning & strategizing the overall vision, image and direction of the organisation, including financial sustainability, staff development and adherence to applicable statutory legislation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing all aspects relating to the running of the organisation including the financial management (as prescribed by the PFMA), service delivery and human resource management
- Ensuring compliance to the Governance of NGO Act and Local and National Government Policy regarding Community Based Treatment centres.
- Project design,implementation & operational management including monitoring & evaluation
- Organizational planning& development
- Ensuring the financial sustainability of the Centres
- Fundraising, donor development, report & proposal writing
- Networking and liaison with various role players
- PR and media work
- Developing and managing budgets
REQUIREMENTS:
- Have a proven track record in terms of key responsibilities listed above
- Be multi-skilled, efficient and able to work under pressure
- At least 5 years management experience
- A minimum of 5yrs work experience in an NGO
- Experience in the Substance Use Disorders field an advantage
- Proof of Qualification and contactable references
- A valid Code 08 driver’s License
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Organisational, human resource and financial management skills are essential
- A well-established network and portfolio of contacts in the NGO arena would be an advantage
- Above average communication skills [spoken and written]
- Strategic planning and leadership skills
- Integrity in all areas of personal and social life
- Excellent report writing and administration skills
- Computer literacy is essential

Salary NGO market related
