He or she will manage and grow a portfolio of partners that will enable the Foundation to sustain our work and grow our impact.

About Company
Fundraising and Resource mobilisation
Develop and implement the organisation's fundraising and resource mobilisation strategy.
Develop prospect engagement strategies and proposals for pipeline development.
Manage and grow a portfolio of large donor partnerships - including multi-year partnerships.
Raise philanthropic funds in support of the Foundation’s strategic initiatives and reach set targets.
Support partner entities with writing winning fundraising proposals and grant applications.
Design and implement innovative fundraising and resource mobilisation strategies and plans.
Develop, implement, and coordinate fundraising events and activities in line with the fundraising
plans.
Participate in relevant industry bodies and associations to facilitate fundraising and stewardship for
the work of the Foundation.
Donor Relations
Develop thorough knowledge of the Foundation’s work to develop and implement donor relations
strategies.
Manage the Foundation’s donor relationships including lapsed donors.
Have direct engagements with donors and assist the CEO and COO in their donor engagements.
Proactively drive production of quality donor correspondence and stewardship reporting
Ensure production of relevant marketing collateral for donor engagement and fundraising activities.
Nurture relationships with donors to strengthen their commitment to the Foundation.
Coordinate reporting in line with donor expectations and requirements.
Administration
Work closely with all teams to maintain fundraising database integrity and perform routine prospect
data clean-up.
Collaborate with the COO as needed for the generation of briefings, profiles, and other donor materials.
Track and report on fundraising activities and progress.
Collaborate with the partner entities to maintain and update prospects lists, donor issues alerts, and
funding landscape trends to inform strategies.
Develop thorough knowledge of Foundation’s and partner entities’ needs to provide proactive,
efficient, and expedient resources and support.
Coordinate internal fundraising committee.
Education, Skills and Experience
Relevant post Matric qualification
Honours or a Master’s degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
Excellent selling skills – negotiating, influencing.
Excellent engagement and relationship-building skills.
Funding and grant proposals at various levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Cost analysis and budget management.
English fluency - reading comprehension, oral and written communication, and expression.
Five years’ fundraising or sales experience - with a track record of obtaining and renewing R1m+
partnerships.
Strong relationship-building skills.
Experience in the non-profit, social entrepreneurship, and impact investing fields.
Experience in grant and report writing.
Experience in managing multiple donor and stakeholder relations.
Experience managing communication and/or fundraising campaigns, including familiarity with social
media
platforms and digital fundraising platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
