NON-PROFIT  OPERATIONS  MANAGER

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail operations management, preferably within the charity or nonprofit sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion for the organization's charitable mission and values.
  • MS Office and Powerpoint literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid Code 8 Drivers Licence
  • Clear criminal and credit record

 

Responsibilities:

Store Management

  • Lead, mentor, and guide store managers and staff to ensure a cohesive and motivated team.
  • Implement and maintain operational standards, including visual merchandising, inventory management, and customer service excellence.
  • Monitor daily store activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess performance and provide guidance for improvement.

Inventory and Stock Management :

  • Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, pricing, and organizing donations.
  • Monitor stock levels, analyze sales trends, and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
  • Coordinate stock transfers between Stores and the Distribution Centre to optimize product availability.
  • Plan and coordinate the collection of stock donations. 

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for individual stores, tracking expenses and revenue.
  • Analyze sales data and financial reports to identify opportunities for growth and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with the administration department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Community Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the stakeholder community to foster support and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with marketing and outreach teams to promote charity shop initiatives and events.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and onboard new store managers and staff.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure all stores adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe shopping environment.

Performance Analysis:

  • Monitor store performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress toward goals.
  • Implement strategies to improve store efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue generation.
