About Company

We are a women-centred organisation committed to creating safe spaces, promoting, and claiming human rights, and advancing the strategic and practical interests of HIV positive women in their diversities. Our vision is to create a world where HIV positive women enjoy all their full Human Rights.

OUR PHILOSOPHY AND THEORY OF CHANGE

We are committed to the principles of feminisms and women-centred social justice. We apply post-colonial, critical race, intersectional and political economy feminists’ theories in our analysis of women’s oppression. Our change strategies are rooted in these theoretical foundations.

We believe that ‘ The Personal is Political.’  HIV positive women’s lived experiences of intersecting oppressions,    dehumanisation, human rights violations, and social-economic exclusions and are not merely experiences of individual women. These are political, historical, neo-colonial, systematic, and rooted in the gendered and racialised, political economy of commodification and control of women’s bodies, their ability to reproduce, and endemic violence against poor women, amongst other forces of oppression of women.

Our interventions seek to address the root causes of oppression HIV positive women face as individuals, and as a group.  We believe that feminist consciousness building, victim centred policy advocacy and human rights change strategies will bring HIV positive women closer to realising their rights.
