Open Secrets works for social justice. We want to live in a society in which the powerful do not monopolise resources and influence.
We are a fearlessly independent African civil society organisation. We hold the profiteers of economic crime, human rights abuses, and war to account. They are powerful corporations and private individuals, along with complicit state institutions and politicians.
We go where it’s hard to disrupt networks of power. We undertake evidence-based investigations, use the law, and collaborate with partner organisations to achieve systemic change.
We do not accept funding from corporations or governments.
