About Company
Operation Smile is a global nonprofit bridging the gap in access to essential surgeries and healthcare, starting with cleft surgery and comprehensive care. We provide medical expertise, training, research and care through our dedicated staff and medical and student volunteers around the world, working alongside local governments, nonprofits, and health systems, and supported by our generous donors and corporate partners.
Since 2006 Operation Smile South Africa has been a driving force in the delivery of safe cleft surgery and care for hundreds of patients. Over the past 17 years we have delivered multiple surgical programmes; invested in health systems strengthening through education and training; supported the training of community health workers in under-served rural areas; and built up a volunteer network of 126 specialists.
