Rise Above Development
Rise Above Development is a new youth centre, sports facility and a community garden that has been built in the heart of Lavender Hill. The space, collectively known as Rise Above Developments Urban Youth Oasis or RAD for short, gives the youth of this community a safe space to come and learn and play.

About Company
The new centre has provided a venue, equipment, training and the opportunity for the youth in Lavender Hill to express themselves creatively. This much needed intervention will help to develop the younger generation and inspire them to create a better, integrated future by providing them with the facilities and infrastructure they need.
Phase one saw the arrival of our Music Studio, Computer Lab, Classroom / Library and the start of our community gardens and our toilets and changing rooms. Each space is fully active with impactful programmes since January 2023 working with youth between the age of 6 - 18 years old.
Phase two will see the arrival of an Outdoor Theatre, Internet Cafe, Multipurpose dance studio. Plus the sports facilities will consist of Netball and Tennis courts, multipurpose sports pitch and a running track.
The centre has already had an amazing impact in the community of Lavender Hill. Currently employing 9 staff and over 20 youth volunteers all from the community, plus 150 registered youth of which up to 80 join us per day to take part in our exciting and impactful programmes.
With broader support and basic needs in place the aim is to dilute the recruitment pool for gangsterism, creating lasting change in this beautiful community
