Starfish was established in 2001 in response to the HIV pandemic that was ravaging the country and leaving behind orphaned and vulnerable children. The mandate of starfish is to support orphaned and vulnerable children by providing Educational support, Early childhood development, nutritional support and Health and Wellness, via Wellness wagons.

About Company

Starfish Greathearts Foundation is searching for the spirit of the Greathearts!

We want to support a Community Based Organisation (CBO) in Gauteng, that works with orphaned and vulnerable children, 0 to 6 years.

The CBO needs to have the following services that they provide for children:

ECD
Social Services
Nutrition
Health & Wellness

The CBO needs to have the following requirements:

Registered as an NPO
Registered with DSD or DBE (Partial or full ECD registration)

Or in the process of applying for the same.

Proof of Bank Account of CBO.
Copy of Financials & Budgets available.
CBO Profile and Organogram.
CBO to be in operation for over 5 years.
CBO should be able to disclose which other organisations or Government departments are supporting or assisting the CBO and in what way.
Details available of CBO Board of Management.
Valid DSD form 30: Inquiry by person to establish if his/her name is included in the Part B of the National Child Protection Register.
Be able to show that the centre is serving the needs of the community through interventions made.
Copy of valid lease agreement/ Deed of sale or any other relevant property paperwork to prove who the structure of the centre belongs to.
