About Company
SEARCH CRITERIA
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, or a related field
- Proven experience of 5+ years in a relevant discipline: operations management, foundation management, community development, public administration, business management
- At least five years of senior management experience leading and managing a team
- Exposure to the health, nutrition, or early childhood development sectors
- Experience in fundraising will be highly advantageous
- Strong financial acumen and systems thinking
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to making a positive impact in the communities we serve
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the board to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the organization's mission and long-term goals.Operations management: program planning and implementation in line with funding partner deliverables
- Oversight of events & fundraising initiatives
- Governance, administrative and regulatory compliance - Ensure Starfish's adherence to all relevant regulations, policies, and legal requirements. Prepare periodic reports on operational performance for the board
- Financial oversight – budgeting and costing, annual organizational budgets, and monthly management accounts
- Operations management - logistics and administrative, including program planning, quarterly reporting, and implementation in line with funding partner deliverables
- Develop, maintain, and implement systems, policies, and processes
- Maintain strategic partnerships – foster strong partnerships and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, partners, community members, the South African Government, international aid agencies, corporates, individuals, and civil service organisations
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, safeguarding the organisation's reputation and sustainability.
- Resource Allocation and Management: Allocate resources effectively to support various projects and programs, ensuring they are executed within budget and timelines. Manage the performance of teams in line with Starfish objectives.
