Established in 1998, Tshikululu Social Investments is a social investment fund manager and advisor that works alongside investors and other development partners to maximise the power of social investment. We define social investment as any financial commitment – from grant making to impact investing – that seeks to drive and measure social impact.

About Company
The service providers that we are looking for will provide the following services:
Social impact consulting
Requirements :
- At least an honours/postgraduate degree in education, economics, or social development;
- A minimum of seven to 10 years of service at a strategic level in providing social investment solutions, grant making and/or impact investing at a strategic level;
- Relevant experience in any of the following areas related to the social investment sector: gender-based violence (GBV), environmental, social, and governance (ESG) consulting services, enterprise development, youth development and empowerment, health, employment, skills development, education, the green economy, monitoring and evaluation, poverty alleviation, and livelihoods;
- At least three years’ experience in fast-paced project advisory or consulting environments;
- At least five testimonials and a relevant track record in designing and managing complex social investment strategies, projects, and/or initiatives;
- The ability to thrive in complex problem-solving situations;
- The ability to think creatively and push the social investment envelope;
- The ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders at the highest levels; and
- A valid light motor vehicle driver’s license.
- Compliance with BEE legislation will be an advantage.
Client relationships management consulting
Requirements :
- At least an honours degree in business administration, social science, or commerce, or similar;
- A minimum of seven to 10 years’ experience developing and implementing operational programmes and solutions in the social investment sector;
- A track record in executive level stakeholder relationship management;
- At least three years’ experience in fast-paced project advisory or consulting environments;
- At least five testimonials and a relevant track record in designing and managing complex social investment strategies, projects, and/or initiatives;
- The ability to thrive in complex problem-solving situations;
- The ability to think creatively and push the social investment envelope;
- The ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders at the highest levels; and
- A valid light motor vehicle driver’s license.
- Experience in the social investment sector and compliance with BEE legislation would be an advantage.
Business development consulting
Requirements :
- At least an honours/postgraduate degree in business administration, social science, commerce, social development, development finance, economics, and social sciences, or similar;
- A minimum of seven to 10 years’ experience in social investment, client management, business management consulting, or project management;
- Evidence of strong business development, fundraising and sales experience in the social investment sector;
- Demonstrated ability to gain access to and manage relationships with relevant client decision-makers and influencers in key economic sectors, such as mining, financial services, retail, and telecommunications;
- Relevant experience in any of the following areas related to the social investment sector: campaigns against gender-based violence (GBV), enterprise development, youth development and empowerment, health care, employment, skills development, education, the green economy, poverty alleviation, and livelihoods;
- At least three years’ experience in fast-paced project advisory or consulting environments;
- At least five testimonials and a relevant track record in designing and managing complex social investment strategies, projects, and/or initiatives;
- Evidence of a strong track record in networking with companies across the various economic sectors such as the mining and energy, banking, investments, retail, consulting, telecommunications, and education sectors;
- The ability to thrive in complex problem-solving situations;
- The ability to think creatively and push the social investment envelope;
- Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders at the highest levels; and
- Valid light motor vehicle driver’s license.
- Compliance with BEE legislation will be an advantage.
Monitoring and evaluation consulting
Requirements :
- At least an honours/postgraduate degree in education, monitoring and evaluation, economics, or social development;
- A minimum of seven to 10 years of service at a strategic level in providing social investment solutions, grant making and/or impact investing;
- Relevant experience in any of the following areas related to the social investment sector: gender-based violence (GBV), enterprise development, youth development and empowerment, health, employment, skills development, education, green economy, monitoring and evaluation, poverty alleviation, and livelihoods;
- At least three years’ experience in fast-paced project advisory or consulting environments;
- At least five testimonials and a relevant track record in designing and managing complex social investment strategies, projects and/or initiatives;
- The ability to thrive in complex problem-solving situations;
- The ability to think creatively and push the social investment envelope;
- The ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders at the highest levels; and
- A valid light motor vehicle driver’s license.
- Compliance with BEE legislation will be an advantage.
Tshikululu will require the appointed service providers to render services throughout the year, however, peak periods typically take place in quarterly cycles and as guided by project-based milestones. The consultants will need to be available for ad hoc work throughout the year.

Please note that Tshikululu works in a dynamic environment where schedule adjustments take place frequently. Therefore, we require service providers who are flexible, who can accommodate schedule changes, and who can take on work with short turnaround times at short notice.
Supporting information and request for submissions
Service providers are required to submit the following:
- Company profile (or curriculum vitae if the applicant is an individual);
- Confirmation of BEE compliance;
- Hourly and daily rate (in order to compare pricing between applicants, we request a rate that is time-based);
- At least two references (if the applicant is an individual);
- At least five testimonials in support of services rendered in the recent past and not older than two years;
- Evidence of a strong track record in networking with companies across the various economic sectors: mining and energy, banking, investments, retail, consulting, telecommunications, and education.
