About Me
My journey in healthcare began with my education at Eshowe High School, where I completed my secondary education in 2009. I then pursued higher education at institutions such as Nelson Mandela University, Stellenbosch University, and the University of South Africa, earning qualifications in nursing administration, HIV/AIDS management, and public health. Throughout my career, I've been driven by a strong commitment to providing comprehensive care to individuals affected and infected by HIV/AIDS. In previous roles at the Eastern Cape Department of Health, I played a pivotal role in managing clients on Antiretroviral Therapy, providing essential mother and child healthcare services, and overseeing various prevention and screening programs. My responsibilities also included prescribing and dispensing medication, coordinating integrated management of childhood illnesses, and immunisation services.
Currently, I serve as a Health Manager at Ubuntu Pathways, where I oversee the operations and administration of HIV and TB programs. In this role, I provide mentorship and supervision to healthcare teams, spearhead monitoring and evaluation activities, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet program targets. In addition to my professional responsibilities, I am actively engaged in research and academic pursuits. I have presented research abstracts on topics such as TB contact tracing and screening at national and international conferences, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of public health.
As a member of various professional forums, including the Nelson Mandela Bay Department of Health Promotion Forum and the Southern African HIV Clinicians Society, I actively contribute to the exchange of knowledge and best practices in healthcare.
