About Company

Required Qualifications, Skills and Qualities:

The appointed individual is expected to have the following experience and qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Financial Management, preferably within the non-profit sector

  • Knowledge of computerised accounting software systems

  • Knowledge of relevant taxation legislation

  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles

  • Practical experience in application of GAAP and IFRS principles

  • Excellent written English skills

  • Driver’s license, ability to drive and own vehicle would be advantageous

The Finance Manager must have good communication skills, interpersonal relations, have patience and a passion for working with figures. They must be tenacious, detail-oriented, well organised and deadline driven.

 

Responsibilities include :

  • Budgeting and Financial Accounting

  • Asset Management

  • Control of Expenditure

  • Donor Reporting and Donor Relationship Development

  • Statutory Compliance

  • Finance Reporting and Audits

  • Finance Risk Awareness and Mitigation

  • Management of Finance Functions

  • Payroll Management

  • Maintenance and Development of Financial Systems and Controls

  • General Support to the Organisation
