Position: Procurement and Operations Manager
Location: TEKANO Offices, Cape Town
Closing Date: 30 September 2024

TEKANO is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement and Operations Manager to join our team in Cape Town. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing procurement processes, operational projects, and supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with our ethical policies and driving efficient, cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Management: Develop and execute procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost-effective purchasing in line with our values.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract processes, ensuring legal compliance, risk management, and timely execution of contracts.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient procurement and operational success.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the office facility, health and safety policies, and office maintenance, working collaboratively with HR and other departments.
  • Value Alignment: Uphold and promote TEKANO’s mission, values, and strategic objectives through all procurement and operational activities.
  • Ad hoc Duties: Provide flexible support as required by the Finance Director to advance TEKANO’s goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: A degree or 3-year diploma in Procurement, Business Management, or Administration.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in procurement/operations management, contract management, and project management.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent organisational, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Experience in policy development is an advantage.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement regulations, contract preparation, and budget management.
