Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator / Fundraiser to join our team. 

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening our relationships with stakeholders while leading our fundraising efforts to support and expand our impact. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Stakeholder Engagement: 

• Develop and implement engagement strategies to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community organisations. 

• Coordinate and facilitate meetings, events, and workshops to engage stakeholders and gather feedback. 

• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing inquiries and ensuring their needs are met. • Maintain an up-to-date stakeholder database, ensuring accurate records of interactions and relationships. 

2. Fundraising: 

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to meet and exceed financial targets. 

• Research and identify potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations. 

• Compile and maintain a database of local and international donor organisations 

• Compile, maintain and update a donor strategy. 

• Prepare and submit grant applications and proposals to secure funding. 

• Plan and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives. 

• Track and report on fundraising progress, analysing data to improve strategies and outcomes. 

• Overall responsibility for implementing our fundraising/ business development strategy steadily increasing our income towards R15million Rands 

3. Communication & Marketing: 

• Create and implement communication strategies to promote the organization’s mission and programs to stakeholders. 

• Develop marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and social media content, to support engagement and fundraising efforts.

 • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across all channels. 

• Manage the organisation’s social media presence, ensuring timely and relevant content is shared with the community. 

4. Collaboration & Teamwork: 

• Work closely with the Director, Programs and Finance teams to ensure alignment of stakeholder engagement and fundraising activities with organizational goals. 

• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on stakeholder engagement and fundraising progress. 

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of organisational strategies. 

Qualifications: 

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, fundraising, communication, or marketing roles. 

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for different audiences. 

• Experience in planning and executing successful fundraising campaigns and events. 

• Proficiency in using Salesforce systems, fundraising software, and social media platforms. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills. 

• A passion for education, environmental education. 

• Financial planning skills and budget management. 

• Experience in international grants applications and fundraising. 

• Ability to travel when required. 

• Own car and driver’s licence. 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (preferred).
