Job Description: We seek a highly motivated, self-driven, passionate and experienced Knowledge and Research Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will drive Iranti’s mission by leading and managing Iranti’s knowledge and research strategies to ensure that Iranti’s work is factual and evidence-based and that the knowledge and research products are disseminated to the relevant stakeholders timeously.

Job Responsibilities:
Research
•To design, implement and oversee research projects that align with Iranti’s strategic priorities.
•To lead the development of research proposals and maintain relationships with research centres, organisations and academic institutions.
•To produce high-quality research outputs, including scientific publications, policy briefs, reports, etc.
•To research, identify and secure funding opportunities for research proposals and grant writing for organisational sustainability.
Knowledge
•To use research findings to produce products for dissemination to the relevant stakeholders.
•To develop and implement a knowledge management strategy that supports the dissemination of research and knowledge materials within Iranti and its stakeholders.
•To manage Iranti’s knowledge resources, including the archive, research database, digital content, etc.
•To facilitate internal and external knowledge sharing i.e. capacity building initiatives through webinars, workshops, etc.
 

Organisational Support
•To manage Iranti’s knowledge resources and archiving platforms including archiving digital resources.
•To manage and lead the knowledge and research team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, including talent management functions, performance management, employee development, employee engagement, etc.

Requirements:
Inherent Job Requirements
•Individuals who identify as LBQTI and are feminist.
•Research skills

Education
•Grade 12
•NQF Level 9 Post Graduate Degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Law, and any related field.
•Driver’s license

Job experience
•3-5 years minimum experience conducting research in a human rights environment.
•LBQTI, human rights, NGO experience.

Remuneration
The remuneration package is commensurate with the experience required for a person in the Regional NGO sector and includes flexible work arrangements (hybrid model), medical aid, provident fund, performance bonus, and annual leave.
