Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, passionate and experienced Finance and Operations Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage Iranti’s financial and operational activities in support of the organisational strategy.


Job Responsibilities:
Finance
•Upload the cash book on the Sage system on a monthly basis and ensure that all transactions are allocated to the correct donor.
•Allocate all receipts and payments on the Sage system on a monthly basis and ensure that the total on the system is as per the bank statements.
•Reconciliation of AP ledger to - Supplier control account # 9000
•Perform an age analysis review and corrections for all suppliers on a monthly basis.
•Update the insurance policy for changes to fixed assets (additions & disposals).
•Manage service provider communication and sharing of proof of payments.
•Print and file all invoices & receipts for the monthly finance reports and filing.


Payroll
•Process the onboarding and offboarding of employees and other related transactions on the Sage Payroll system.
•Update the payroll schedule for review before uploading monthly salaries.
•Process all payment advances on the system to ensure that the advances are correctly allocated and deducted as per agreement.
•Review the monthly provident fund contributions to ensure that the monthly payments are correctly allocated and paid.


Banking
•Ensure that all payment requests and supporting documents are completed as per the finance manual systems, and are allocated to the relevant donors, obtain relevant authorisations and prepare for payment.
•Load and release payments on the banking profile, prepare the payment spreadsheet, scan supporting documents and ensure that only payments with approved requisitions are loaded for processing.
•Ensure that all statutory income, such as SARS, Provident funds, etc. are paid timeously
•Perform a monthly bank reconciliation and ensure that all payments thereon, including debit orders, have supporting documents and authorised payment requisitions.
•Order foreign notes as needed and within the standard turnaround time.
•Print and file the monthly bank statements for the current account and quarterly bank statements for the forex account.
 

Asset Management and Security
•Manage and keep track of office equipment and assets.
•Ensure that the CCTV system and alarm are functional.
 

General Office Administrative work
•Procure/ facilitate the procurement of office refreshments, supplies, and stationery.
•Supervise the office cleaner and ensure that the office is kept clean.
 

Requirements:
Education
•National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field. Degree (NQF level 7) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an added advantage


Job experience
•4 years’ experience in a similar role in an LBQTI, human rights, NGO environment.
•SAICA/SAIPA articles and AGSA experience advantageous

Remuneration
The remuneration package is commensurate with the experience required for person/s in the Regional NGO sector and is inclusive of flexible work arrangements (high breed model), medical-aid, provident fund, mobile phone allowance, performance assessment bonus and annual leave.
