SENIOR MANAGER: NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

The New business development & Strategic Partnership Manager is primarily responsible for the management, growth and development of strategic relationships, both existing and new. The role leverages key relationships to build a pipeline of new partners and donors to secure funding, ensuring the on-going sustainability and relevance of Hlanganisa.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Manager will include: 

  1. Develop and implement strategies for partnership development and fundraising aligned with the organizational strategy.
  2. Provide expert strategic advice on partnership management.
  3. Cultivate and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Drive funding growth by managing partnerships.
  5. Monitor and evaluate partnership performance and initiatives.
  6. Manage partnership agreements (MOUs, SLAs).
  7. Research new partners and funding opportunities.
  8. Conduct environmental scans and maintain donor intelligence.
  9. Coordinate and mobilize fundraising efforts.
  10. Manage social media, digital presence, and brand awareness.
  11. Prepare and deliver executive reports and presentations.
  12. Oversee departmental budget and financial reporting

The Senior Manager must have the following:

  1. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
  2. Extensive experience in communications, stakeholder management, public relations, and marketing.
  3. Prior experience in the NGO sector, particularly with donors, government, and community-based organizations.
  4. Proven experience in developing successful partnerships and funding agreements.
  5. Established network of government, NGOs, and funding agencies.
  6. Integrity, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Advanced relationship management and negotiation abilities.
  8. Strong communication and adaptability skills.
  9. Ability to work collaboratively and manage teams effectively.
  10. Initiative and innovation in partnership development and fundraising

 Please note this is a  1 year rolling contract, renewable subject to funding and performance
