We work tirelessly to advance justice, equality, and dignity for the LBQTI community. Our team is passionate about making a meaningful impact and creating positive change in the world.

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, passionate and experienced Programmes Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our programmes, advocacy work and other initiatives. This individual will play a crucial role in driving our mission forward and ensuring the effective delivery of Iranti programmes to communities and individuals in need. 

Job Main Purpose: Develop, implement, and evaluate various programmes to support and advocate the human rights of LBQTI individuals and communities.

Job Objectives:

  1. To develop and implement LBQTI programmes in line with human rights instruments and treaties.

  2. To engage in developmental research for LBQTI programmes.

  3. To develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of programmes.

  4. To advocate for the LBQTI rights and policies at local, regional, and international levels.

  5. To build and maintain relationships with strategic partners, stakeholders, and communities.

  6. To collaborate with policymakers and other NGOs to influence desired inclusive policies.

  7. To manage the programme’s budget and resources effectively. 

  8. To identify, coordinate, and conclude opportunities for funding resources to support the policy advocacy and programmatic agenda.

  9. To foster a positive and inclusive work environment, including talent management functions, performance management, employee development, employee engagement, etc.

Requirements

  1. Postgraduate degree (NQF level 8) in law, gender studies, social sciences, human rights, international relations, or a related field. 

  2. 5 years experience in a programme management role.

  3. Experience in leading and managing a diverse team.

  4. Knowledge of human rights and laws at local, regional, and international levels.

  5. Experience in an LBQTI environment, human rights environment, and nonprofit organization.

  6. Project management Skills

  7. Individuals who identify as Intersex, transgender, LBQ, and a feminist.

  8. Proficiency in English and two additional local languages.

  9. Ability to travel globally

Remuneration

The remuneration package is commensurate with the experience required for person/s in the Regional NGO sector and is inclusive of flexible work arrangements (high breed model), medical-aid, provident fund, performance assessment bonus and annual leave.
