JOB PURPOSE
Conceptualise, design, plan, implement, manage and monitor Civil Society Support Programmes by working with partners, stakeholders and the wider target audience including programme pillars. Engaging with stakeholders and building relationships is a key component to effectively implement the programme.


Key Performance Areas Objectives
Establish Database
•Establish a database for relevant and best practice NGOs and institutions to implement the programmes.
 

Stakeholder and Partner Engagement
•Develop an advocacy plan for stakeholder engagement.
•Leverage partnerships and relationships to enhance sustainability of Civil Society organisations and KT programmes.
•Contribute to KT’s development strategy by meeting with potential partners and seeking out avenues for new projects.
•Support CSOs to apply innovative strategic communication approaches to promote engagement.


Internal Management
•Plan activities related to Civil Society for program pillars.
 

Research and Policy Development
•Build and scale-up thought leadership through research and policy development to promote, design and adoption of new systems and cultures facilitating planning for long-term sustainability.
•Contribute towards the rebuilding of civil society’s voice and capable responsiveness to national policy development and community needs.


BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

 Formal Qualification/Degree
Relevant tertiary qualification


Work Experience (What kind of experience is needed in order to do this job?) 
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the development sector, project management space and/or civil society capacity building
Experience of strategic planning, process management and stakeholder engagement
Project experience related to community development within the NGO space

Job Related Knowledge (knowledge of systems, processes, regulations or law) 
Knowledge and understanding of programme planning, design, management, evaluation and monitoring
Knowledge of policy development processes
Knowledge of contractual and financial accounting, management and budgeting

Job Related Skills 
Excellent report writing and presentation skills
