Financial Manager

Contract DURATION: PERMANENT POSITION

Star for Life is a Non- profit organization with the mission to inspire young people to value learning, acquire the knowledge and skills  they need for productive work, and live healthy meaningful lives.

Star for Life has developed a unique set of programs and workshops  that we are currently running in 102 schools in South Africa , Namibia and Tanzania to add value to the regular Life Orientation Curriculum.

Our method empowers learners with self-esteem to adopt positive attitudes and constructive behaviors.

Star for Life is seeking the service of a Financial Manager on a Permanent basis that will be based in Richards Bay Head Office providing support in the following countries: South Africa; Namibia and Tanzania 

THE CANDIDATES SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS. 

1. Degree in Finance/Accounting or Diploma in Financial Accounting with a post graduate qualification
2. Minimum five years in a financial managerial role preferably in the NGO sector
3. Valid code 08 driver’s license 
4. Knowledge of Sage Pastel payroll and Accounting

THE CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS STRENGTHS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: 

1. Budget preparation and control
2. Implementation of financial systems and controls 
3. Financial and donor reporting
4. Audit preparation
5. Management of a finance team
6. Pastel Partner and Excel.
7. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

THE FOLLOWING WILL BE AN ADDED ADVANTAGE 

1. Professional certification, e.g. SAIPA or CIMA is preferential
