Marketing Officer

Purpose: 

The primary focus of this role is  to expand our reach and improve engagement with our target audience for the Civic and Soft Skills Programme and other Higher Health programmes. This professional will employ various marketing strategies, including social media campaigns, email marketing, and content marketing, to increase our visibility. Enhanced outreach will lead to greater awareness of all our programmes and initiatives, thereby driving higher participation and support.   This role will help in crafting targeted campaigns that resonate with our audience, reinforcing our brand's presence and credibility.

Location: 

X1 Centurion, Gauteng 

Main Functions:  

• Manage and develop marketing campaigns.
• Plan and implement creative campaigns on various social media platforms.
• Creating editorial and content creation calendars for various media platforms
• Oversee and measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
• Deliver PowerPoint presentations on various programmes and initiatives as well as for gaining new business for the Civic and Soft Skills Programme.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify growth opportunities.
• Utilize research findings to provide marketing managers with insights and direction for upcoming marketing strategies and projects.
• Conducting market research to determine a target audience’s needs, wants, habits, interests and other relevant factors used in creating targeted marketing campaigns. 
• Researching and analysing data to identify and define audiences.
• Researching previous successful campaigns to understand what worked, what didn’t and what can be improved. 
• Coordinating with the Marketing Manager to plan day-to-day marketing activities  
• Assisting in organizing networking and promotional events  
• Managing the creation and distribution of marketing materials  
• Assisting in preparing and monitoring marketing budget  
• Manage promotional activities.
• Monitor marketing performance to adjust the marketing strategy as needed.
• Reporting on trends and statistics across all digital media platforms.
• Enhance brand awareness by liaising with stakeholders to promote success.

Requirements:  

1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in marketing, communications or related.
2. 3 Years of Proven work experience in marketing/communications.
3. Valid Code 08 Drivers Licence.

Behavioural competencies:  

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Solid knowledge of market research techniques.
• Thorough knowledge of social media and web analytics.

1. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint/ Outlook).
2. Superior time management, good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
3. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
