The South African Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) is a 21-member body comprising representatives from five constituencies involved in the fight against various diseases. Among its responsibilities, the CCM selects Principal Recipients (PRs) for grants.

The CCM is inviting applications from qualified civil society organizations to serve as Principal Recipients for the HIV and TB funding request, which will be submitted to the Global Fund on September 9, 2024. The grant implementation period will run from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2028.

The Global Fund CCM aims to procure three civil society Principal Recipients to oversee the implementation of comprehensive HIV, TB, and STI programs in specific districts and sub-districts across the nine provinces. PRs will sign grant agreements with the Global Fund, contract with Sub-Recipients (SRs), manage the implementation of grant priorities under the guidance of the Global Fund CCM, report progress to the Global Fund CCM and the Global Fund, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
