SaveAct is seeking reliable and capable facilitators on a short-term basis for a specific assignment in several provinces.
Facilitators from:KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape (Alfred Nzo District), North West
Province, Northern Cape, Gauteng, Free State
SaveAct is an NGO promoting group-managed savings/financial services and sustainable livelihoods amongst vulnerable groups, particularly rural women and youth.
Overview of short-term training contract
SaveAct is looking for skilled and experienced facilitators, in each of the above regions, to lead life skills and financial education for sex workers. The training will equip the participants with the skills necessary to improve their well-being,safety, and quality of life. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in facilitation in psychosocial health and wellbeing, gender and livelihood issues,
and a track record of working with social diversity, build rapport and supporting social partners.
Key responsibilities
As a Trained Facilitator, you will be responsible for:
Delivering tailored life skills training and financial education for sex workers
Fostering a supportive, non-judgmental environment, understanding the unique challenges faced by this community
Providing constructive and regular feedback to management, ensuring a focus on quality outcomes and adherence to documented procedures
Identifying issues and problems as they arise, working to resolve them effectively
Reflecting with local co-trainers, synthesising and documenting the experiences into concise reports.
Requirements:
Post-school qualification with experience in group training on issues related to livelihood pathways, gender and/or sex work , and financial education.
Strong facilitation skills with attention to detail and methodical application of training guides.
Strong planning, decision-making, listening, communication, interpersonal, leadership and learning skills.
Experience in participatory community-based development.
Fluency in the languages of the region you wish to work in.
Ability to write reports.
Ability to relate well to diverse local communities and stakeholders involved with projects.
Willingness to work over weekends if required and travel away from home for extended periods of time.
Preference will be given to candidates who have their own vehicle and a valid drivers licence
