Groote Schuur Hospital Trust seeks to appoint a
WOMEN’S HEALTH SCREENING ADMINISTRATOR (NURSE) x1
To work within the Groote Schuur Hospital Trust’s Women’s Health Project Team at Groote Schuur Hospital and Mitchell's Plain District Hospital to roll out and scale the pilot phase of their Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) screening intervention. Key responsibility is screening women patients to detect for IPV and refer accordingly.
Contract Type: Fixed Term (6 months). Possible extension of contract- funding dependent
Reporting to: Nursing Operational Manager/Projects Manager
Remuneration: (based on working experience as Nurse)
Grade 1: R273 623 per annum• Grade 2: R 324 978 per annum • Grade 3: R 380 520 per annum
Key responsibilities of the Women’s Health Screening Administrator (Nurse) include but are not limited to:
- Participating in training sessions to upskill in gender-based violence(GBV) - specifically intimate partner violence (IPV) detection, referral, support
- Screening target number (p/month) of women patients for IPV
- Capturing screening data onto digital screening programme
- Referring positive IPV screenings to correct support material, staff, and organisations
- Ensuring target number of women patients screened p/day between sites
- Working with hospital staff to ensure smooth integration of the screening intervention
- Regular feed back to Projects Manager re any challenges/feedback in order to improve screening intervention
The Women’s Health Screening Administrator (Nurse) must meet the following criteria:
- Experience working as a staff nurse
- Research experience advantageous
- Higher certificate that allows registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse
- Registration with the SANC as Enrolled Nurse.
- Passion for Women’s Health particular interest gender-based violence initiatives
- Computer literacy
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal
- Attention to detail
- High degree of autonomy and initiative
